Since Leo and Alyssa were out of town and Ledge and Violet were at our house on their mom's birthday, they are singing her "happy birthday" this way.  She can view their song here.  And, they each do a little dance after the song.

Ledge's Rocket

Well, sorry, I did not actually videotape the rocket taking off because I wanted to record Ledge's face as it happened. He has had this rocket for quite awhile and when he came to Grandma's and Grandpa's for the weekend, it was a perfect time to finally use it. I painstakingly put it together to be sure it would work right. And, the time had finally come for the big moment. Ledge pushed the button and up, up, up it went. You can see his excitement in the video. But, then, alas, the rocket went way, way beyond the fenced perimeter of our property, landed in an area with lots of trees and there is no way we could have ever found it. So, on the video, you see Ledge's excitement and then you will see his disappointment as he realizes his rocket is lost. It was the FIRST and ONLY launch. So sad. But, he got over it quickly and was on to the next thing. But, I promised we would get another rocket and do it again soon.
