Mom Has a House!

This is what she saw when she drove up to her new home. The sign in the driveway says "Parking Space Reserved for Vivian." They had a red carpet leading up to her front door and red tape across the door, which she had to cut with scissors. They also gave her a welcome present, a bucket with all the tools she would ever need. Pliers, various screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, measuring tape, and many other items of which I do not know the names. Anyway, isn't she cute? Doesn't she look happy?

"Cozy for her"

"I made it all cozy for her." That's the way Alyssa described the crib to me before I had seen it. And, here it is. All cozy.

Feeding Mom's Bluejay

As you may have heard one of Mom's hand-eating bluejays will now come down and grab a peanut, it appears, from anyone's hand. A couple days ago, I kept holding out my open hand with a peanut as her bluejay kept landing on my fingers, plucking the peanut, then taking off---I kept count, a total of 48 times within 3 and 1/2 hours! He/she would hide or bury it, then return for more. It took Mom 8 months to gain the trust of these jays.

Greg's Exiciting Promotion

Greg recently got a great promotion at his job, did you all hear? Though he modestly says, "It's no big deal," from what I understand he was informed, "You can now hire and fire." Greg just keeps moving up! I'm very proud of you Greg and often tell others about my successful brother making over 80 thou a year. You are an inspiration!

John, In

Hi everyone! I'm baaaack... Chaz's comment was a riot! Saw the video of Alyssa's ultra-sounds last night. You were so pretty and cute, Alyssa! Though it likely has no chance, I like the name "Virtie" (the namesake of a woman I loved so much and esteem so very highly to this day). Garrett, so GREAT to see you here!!! Neisha, why don't you tell the story (tear-jerker) of the teacher-parent conference here? Well, Mom, Carol, Linnette, Ginger and myself are here at the Quality-Inn in Surprise, Arizona. Her walk-through is today. Saw Mom's new house yesterday. Wow! So cozy, warm and appealing! You all are gonna love it, no doubt about it.

Good thought, Garrett!

Regarding having a holiday where we can all be there, I think that is a good idea. Alyssa went to the doctor today and she asked him if it would be advisable to drive to Arizona that close to her due date. He said if she is more than 34 weeks pregnant, he thinks she should not. And, at that time, she will be 38 weeks (or close). However, Alyssa says that we should all still go to Arizona. She won't be there, but she doesn't want to be the reason the plans are changed. Anyway, I guess I'll just wait to hear from everyone else about what to do.
