Wow. I can't beleive the difference between these photos and how she was when I was there less than a month ago!!! She is so alert and present! It's really incredible.
Violet is too much. She is just so wonderful. I saw her today. She cried most of the day but she did smile at me 2 times which made it worth the 100 mile round trip drive. It makes you feel good because you want to make her happy and you want her to know that there are fun people in her life that love her. One smile was when I was singing Elton John's "Blue Eyes" to her (she obviously hasn't heard the original yet-I was really off but she didn't seem to know) and the other time we were just lying out on the lawn and I was talking to her. Both smiles were short but sincere. Then she went back to screaming her head off in her usual manner......

THOSE ARE INCREDIBLE. MY FAVORITE SO FAR. I CAN'T BELIEVE HER.
She is going to be so smart! That is so obvious! I'm NOT kidding! She's barely a month (ONE MONTH!) old, and look at her! She's AMAZING!
I can't get over these pictures. She looks like at any second she is just going to start blurting out what she's thinking.
