Well, I'll tell ya', it took some maneuvering with words, and I had to go back to the drawing board several times to work on the basic structure of the poem, but all in all, I think the general idea has been conveyed. Mind you, now, it isn't perfect, but for the most part, I think you'll find it's acceptable. Granted, it lacks a bit of rhythm, but considering the the time frame I had to complete the poem, I'm satisfied. Not to pat myself on the back, but I believe it exceeds the average reader's expectations, and reaches out to the heart, mind, and soul of the general audience. Typically, you will find in this kind of poem...
Linnette, I know exactly what you mean. When I was writing it, I was laughing so hard, because I kept realizing that it was a four-line verse, and all you said was "cute poem", and here I am, making a big speech.
