I am having a really hard time with this one, but I don't want to give up. Couldn't you have just given one word about ten letters long? I am getting upset. I hope this doesn't cause me to vcmit. lol
You know there are two separate words, right? The first word is ten letters. These two words do not have anything to do with each other. Just two different words. I had trouble with your word, too, Lisa. Forthright. It took me awhile. I was getting frustrated. Then I started making smaller words with it, like fright, tight, then right, then with what I had left over, O-R-T-F-H-I (because you had an extra "I" in there), well, anyway, I finally figured it out.
Want a hint? If you do, read this: If not, don't read: Lisa, your word FORTHRIGHT was two words, FORTH and RIGHT, combined it is one word in the dictionary. And, since I had trouble with it, I thought those kind of words were hard. So, I tried to make a hard one, too. So, my second word is kind of like yours (a combination of two words that is really one word).
OK, thank you for that information, that's all I needed to know. I was assuming that, since it was two words, it was a common phrase, like "airline stewardess" or something.
You know how I got AFTERTHOUGHT? I was laying in bed this morning thinking about what you said: "It's two words that, when put together, form a long word." The letters weren't in front of me, so I kept trying to remember them: "There's one F, three T's, one R..." Then it popped into my head, AFTERTHOUGHT! I got up, ran to the computer, and DA-HAH! There is was, in perfect order, with beautiful, symmetrical balance, looking almost statuesque. In quiet seclusion, I felt triumphant, yet serene.
That's so funny, I was wondering if you were going to catch that --well, I knew you would get it for sure AFTER the fact, but also wondered if you'd see it BEFORE and think, "Hey, maybe thaaaat's it." lol

OK, I figured the second word: THOROUGHFARE
And, I got the first word: ABSOLUTELY
Whew-hoo! It's so cool when you get it.
By the way, I don't think I acknowledged my mistake in putting that extra "I" in FORTHRIGHT enough. So, i sawee.
Sorry, Lisa. The second word is not thoroughfare.
Oh, how funny! OK, back to the drawing board.
I got it, I got it! The second word is AFTERTHOUGHT. Phew! Finally.
RIGHT! It is afterthought.
I thought the first one would be easier.

I just now read this, but it was AFTER I figured out your word, "seclusion."
