My most Unforgetable TV Moment

I was watching the now defunct "Salley Jesse Raphael" show. She was interviewing this young guy who had been in a fiery automobile accident with his sister. They had crashed head on into a tree on a residential street. The car exploded in flames. He was able to get out just in time with barely a scratch; she perished in the flames. All he could do is stand there and watch helplessly...he couldn't even see her for the raging fire. But he yelled to her, "I love you Jenny!" From the midst of the flames he heard back, "I love you too!" Excluding cataclysmic "current events," that's "my most unforgetable TV moment"---do you have one?

Wow, what a graphic mental image that gives me. I can almost smell the hair burning.

Most memorable moment for me was the second plane crashing into the WTC tower. Have you ever noticed all of the footage of people that were watching that happen? Everyone stares intently at the TV; we all know it’s going straight in. Then, when it actually hits everyone jumps and starts to titter. Even though we all saw the plane coming in and we sort of suspected the crash, the shock of actually seeing the impact, and the explosion made me jump too. And speechless for a few seconds and I know that is hard to believe.

But then again, your example is tragic but also inspirational in a strange way. Life changing I guess. I’m not sure why yet. I am mulling.

That is so sad, John. I'm crying.

The live broadcasting of OJ in his white Bronco in that low-speed pursuit.

That was unforgettably good television.

Tavia, you crack me up. You're the BEST!

Your white Bronco trumps my burning hair.

That whole story is a little weird to me. I mean, I can't imagine just standing there if Alyssa were in a burning car. No way. I know I wouldn't. I'd be burning up trying to pull her out. Come on! This man manages to get himself out without a scratch and leaves his SISTER in the car? Are you kidding me?

How did he explain that to his parents? "She was alive enough to answer me back, but I let her burn to death while I stood there without a scratch." Coward.

Yeah, you'd think he'd at least gotten some second or third degree burns. A little something so he doesn't have to live with the fact he did nothing for the rest of his life. The best policy in a situation like that is definately to throw yourself into the flames.

Actually he was thinking, "She is Mom's favorite anyhow. Man is Ma gonna be bummed, oh well. The burning Sis is feeling now may be almost equal to the fires I've had burning inside of me since I realized that fact. I hungry. I'm gonna get a taco. Love ya sis".

John, I enjoy taking a ribbing just as much as dishing it out. You have identified another of my Achilles heels. One more is my unnatural penchant for Wild Turkey which makes for bad grammar sometimes. Bad grammar can double as creativeness though. I’ve always said that.

It seems like lately I have become so reliant on word processors with spell check that I don’t even take caution in my spelling anymore. You may see some a “form” that should be from. Every once in awhile you may see one of these after an apostrophe “;”.

I used to be a sensational speller but I am just lazy now. I blame Bill Gates for my bad spelling and the degradation of the American youth. I feel a post coming on.

No wait, I plead insanity. Yup, that’s it! I’m crazy about Tavia!

Completely insane.

Oh, that's so cute that you like Tave so much. She's a doll, isn't she? In every way.
