3,000 dead, 22,000 wounded. $400 billion spent—so far. Where did that money come from? Places like China? Is America bankrupt? Are we pretending that we are not?
It’s been 45 months. In the first 45 months of Vietnam, less Americans were killed than in Iraq. But, in the end, 60,000 died in Vietnam.
Everything has a price – even having Saddam Hussein dead. The price of getting rid of Saddam Hussein had a price, too. Not just the $400 billion spent so far in Iraq, but the cost in lives. So, let’s think about it. How many lives would we “spend” to see Saddam Hussein dead? If 1,000,000 people had to die for that, would it be worth it? No? Then how about 500,000? Too many? How about 100,000? How many human beings would you be willing to see killed to remove one man from power? Let’s make it easier. Would removing Hussein be worth it if the cost were just ONE human life? But, that life was yours? Would you be willing to die to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq? Or would you be willing for one of your children to die to remove Hussein from power? My answer to these questions is, No. I would not be willing to die to remove Hussein from power and I certainly would not want to see anyone I love die either. That’s why I did not support this war, because if I am not willing to give up my own life or one of those that I love, then how can I ask others to do the same thing?
To your point, we have equaled the death toll of the WTC. We killed Saddam Hussein and started a civil war that continues killing millions of Iraqi's that we're supposed to be saving. But hey, there are some bright spots.
There have been advancements to the power grids and it would work too, if it weren’t for all those pesky car bombings that make it a never ending struggle. We’ve been protecting the dams and water supplies closely and there have not been any mass poisoning with chemical weapons they were purported to having.
The schools are getting some of the best scholars in the international community. If there are any children left after all of this they are gonna be really sharp.
Well, we entirely dismantled the Iraqi Army, remember the Republican Guard? Now we have a police force. Doesn’t an Army trump a Police Force? Maybe it’s different on that side of the World but it doesn’t seem that they are getting a lot of respect either. Maybe we should send the LAPD over to do a little training in guerilla tactics.
Or Detroit PD. What we need are more heroes to rally around. Like the teenager who ran into a burning building this weekend to save a cat and died, like Angelina Jolie and Madonna, like James Kim.

It is more about...
"AN EYE FOR AN EYE."
That is the wrath of the USA. Sorry. You mess with us........we will misdirect our entire military operation.
You know, like the kid at school, "give me your lunch money or I'll punch your friend."
Give us your oil or we will kill your families, Bubba.
Makes perfect sense to me.
Don't think of it as civil war. Think about it more in terms of opportunity.
Perfect!
