Sometimes I just feel like that because he puts up with so much. You watch those videos from 88 and you watch him in the debates getting booed by the audience and laughed at (by Romney, Giuliani, and the FOX people etc). So maybe not the best ever but one of them for sure.
We don't know those guys who wrote the Constitution. We only know what our history books tell us about them. And, haven't we learned that history books sometimes embellish, slant, make us look good, etc.? For instance, I learned in public school that during WW II Americans were fighting for good, and against evil. But, the US backed Stalin, and Stalin was twice the demon that Hitler was. Stalin murdered 42.7 million innocent men, women and children (I'm not talking about soldiers. I'm talking about extermination.) Hitler murdered 20.9 million innocent men, women and children. So, neither side was good.
I'm quite sure the founding fathers were great Americans but we have actually seen Ron Paul be a great American by standing his ground and not being wishy washy in the face of adversity.
I know Neisha. I always hear him say "It isn't MY message, I'm just following the Constitution." He does not take credit for it - I know you know this but I just think it is cute.
Then people call him "radical." Since when is the Constitution radical?

Okay. However, seeing Ron Paul be a great American, doesn't meant he's the greatest American EVER.
And Ron Paul is defending a Constitution, an ideal that those men made.

Neisha, when I first saw that video, when it said "the greatest American EVER," I said outloud to myself, "ever?"
So, yeah, I get where you are coming from.
But, he IS a great American, nevertheless.
