And, then he talks about a 'nation of freedom' in the next question. What an insincere, fake, fraudulent, transparent man he is.

Well I think we should outlaw pain medicine too. Do you know how many people get hooked on pain medication?

Outlaw Codeine, Vicodin, Demerol etc. Yes even for those who need it, we can't have anyone ending up like Rush Limbaugh.

Here Romney claims there was a direct correlation to the increase in drug use when Clinton said he didn't inhale:

He said he is in favor of "synthetic marijuana" as an alternative for those who need it for medical purposes.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

I bet the synthetic marijuana is worse for your health than the natural.

You still get stoned, what difference does it make if it is "synthetic" or natural?

linnette said...

Yes, where is the logic?

As Tavia said to me in an email, "so if we make a 'synthetic' cocaine to keep me awake when i get tired, is that ok too?"

Marinol, synthetic THC is available for patients and for some has had positive benefits. However, it is a different sort of “high” than actually smoking marijuana. Part of it may be physical routine of rolling a joint or loading a bowl or just having something to do with your hands; like smoking. The Marinol buzz takes awhile to come up on you and is a mellow but intense sort of tingling feeling through your head. Sort of a cerebral buzz. Smoking pot leaves you with similar intensity but a more “floaty” out of body feeling. Because it is ingested Marinol takes longer to feel and in my opinion is not as affective a pain killer. It sort of just gets you “high” but doesn’t mimic the “body high” of cannabis. Lasts a long time though. That's pretty cool but not medically benificial.

I agree with Tavia, why are synthetics considered OK and a solution in its natural form should be illegal? Romney is a canned ham with the rest of the flock. Spewing Republican Party rhetoric he doesn’t understand and obviously doesn’t give a damn about. He should research the origin of cannabis and the evolution of its prohibition and have an educated opinion. Makes me angry to see a suffering American ignored by Romney, probably a lot like he is ignored by people everyday. His one chance to be heard and he gets the shoulder. After all he’s been through. Good job Mitt Romney. Jerk.

I don’t think he shows the compassion to be president. Plus, I blame Nancy Reagan. War on Drugs. Bah! Thank God Ron Paul has the guts to shoot it straight about Nancy’s War.

Well said, Drew!

Marinol is an effective drug if your handicap is not being able to get stoned.

Robert Said: Pain killer? I don't think so.

Is this a political blog now? How about some more pictures of Violet.

This blog is not a political blog, it is an "anything goes" blog. That means anything and everything is welcome. However, since we are in the middle of a presidential election and, finally, there is a candidate that is worth voting for, you may see more political posts than usual. Please bear with us. And, don't forget to cast your vote for Ron Paul!

People widely used marijuana for pain relief in the 1800's and several studies have found that cannabinoids have analgesic effects.

Robert Said: I don't think so. I would say I know more about this subject than any study. Go ahead smoke a joint and then hit your finger with a framing hammer. Let me know

Go ahead and take an aspirin (for pain) or a Vicodin (for pain) and then hit your finger with a framing hammer.

Many studies have found cannabinoids are integral to the body's pain mechanisms. Other studies suggest cannabinoids work with other pain medications like opiates to provide pain relief at lower dosages. In addition, patients with cancer, multiple sclerosis, and other ailments attest that marijuana helps ease their pain, often allowing them to cease or lessen the use of drugs with more profound side effects. The U.S. Society for Neuroscience has concluded that, "careful studies show that cannabinoids directlly interfere with pain signaling in the nervous system. The insights may lead to a new class of pain killers."

Marijuana not only has important analgesic properties but it also is an
effective and important adjuvant therapy for patients suffering acute
and/or chronic pain.

Things like this are all over the Internet. Check it out for yourself.
