I'm not sure about when he said "Bush has caused some more than 9 trillion dollars in debt." Wasn't the national debt close to 6 trillion when Clinton left office? I know he didn't cause all of it but I hate it when people think because Clinton had a "balanced budget” during his administration that Bush must have caused all 9 + trillion of our debt.

What I was gonna say was that Bush DOUBLED our national debt; that would have to mean that 1/2 of the national debt is from previous presidents since Rooselvelt and the other half is from the Bush presidency alone.
My comment was tongue in check, Tavia. Yes, it's funny from a certain perspective, but IMO the reason they can make such a joke is because there's elements of truth and reality in what they are saying. Why did they even come up with such a skit?
I'm one who believes just like Keith Olbermann and Judge Napolitano when it comes to Bush. Bush screamed at his staff, "The Constitution is just a god-damned piece of paper!" and his actions followed suit.
He largely tore down the wall of separation between church and state! As Chris Hedges states in his book "American Fascism":
"The Bush administration has steadily diverted billions of dollars of taxpayer money from secular and governmental social-service organizations to faith-based organizations, bankrolling churches and organizations that seek to dismantle American democracy and create a theocratic state. . . the wall between church and state is being disassembled." p. 23.
Did anybody get that? "THE WALL BETWEEN CHURCH AND STATE IS BEING DISASSEMBLED." That is extremely dangerous and ominous. Whenever the church has obtained control of the civil power, she has used it to punish dissent from her doctrines! And this is part of Bush's frightful, alarming legacy!
Sorry, I didn't mean to go on a rant here. I liked the video. It is funny, but it's "more truth than poetry" (humor), and that is the sad part.
I always heard they were building 600 detention centers. Now it's 800 and the one in Alaska can house two million! What on earth is going on?! I'm telling you, tyranny is afoot and growing and we will realize it more and more. All the talk of a looming police state is not for nothing. They are preparing for the economic meltdown and when it comes they will ruthlessly seize control and our Constiutional freedoms will be repudiated.
RON PAUL SEES IT! He says, "It will end badly," in the beginning of his promotional video for the July 12th March he shows Americans being rounded up in the dead of night, herded into trucks and hauled off of detention camps. These things mean something!
I've read a lot about this; I've lost all respect for Bush and can not wait for his last day in office. He is the most unpopular president in history; little wonder. He has severely damaged our nation, our Constitution, and under his watch our liberties have been severely eroded. He is leaving us near bankrupt. Olbermann is good on this!

I'm with ya John. Though I do not think it is all Bush's fault. I think he is just a puppet for the corrupt powers that be.
Obama or McCain will be just like changing drivers but the car is still going off of the cliff.
