I'm on a blog right now arguing with some guy over this. He said "Nut jobs like Kostric and his perverted view of the proper exercise of his "rights" make us all a little less free."
My reply: He obviously isn't a nut job if you watch the Chris Matthews video. How did he make you less free?
His reply: By bringing a gun to a public discussion.
Lisa says... Good for you Tavia! And you should add, "A gun is neither good nor bad; it doesn't decide if it will be used, or how, or wh, so it's crazy to say that guns cause violence. Just because a person HAS a gun doesn't mean he's going to use it. Evil people cause violence, with or without guns. A gun is a tool of many uses, some good and some bad. Our founding fathers intended that citizens have guns to defend themselves when necessary. Only a monster would forbid them the use of this tool. Are you a monster?"
Lisa said... I think carrying the sign was good, otherwise, his point could have been mistaken to mean that he really is the nut Chris Matthews was trying to make people believe he was. And I think the guy said the perfect things in that interview, especially in the end, and it even seemed like CM finally got it.
One of the msnbc guys said he does not like guys around the president with enough time to take off one of their shoes. That is hilarious. Just outlaw shoes within 50 yards of the president. Idiots.
This is really good, William Kostric's statement about the incident and the things the media got wrong:

Chris Matthews is trying to make the guy look like a nut, but it doesn't work.
Yes, thank you for posting all 3. This is absolutely hillarious stuff.
Yeah Chris Matthews does try to make him look crazy but does not stand a chance. This guy knows his stuff

Sorry, didn't mean to go on and on.
I love how the guy isn't nervous. He's just cool, calm and collected and knows what he's talking about.
I don't think he should have carried the sign.

Robert Said: The guy should have said the reason I am wearing a gun is because I have the right to do so, PERIOD.
Do you think that if everyone in the crowd had a gun on that the President would show up?
