Do you think you are drinking fresh orange juice?

"Not from Concentrate" sounds like fresh-squeezed orange juice. But, that is not always the case. Pasteurized orange juice is kept in giant tanks to ensure year-round supply. So that the juice will keep, they strip it of oxygen. That makes it lose its taste. The juice companies then hire fragrance companies (the same ones that make cologne) to make flavor packs to put the fragrance and flavor back in the orange juice. Juice products with 45 or more days of shelf life are heavily processed. Most of the orange juice we drink isn't from Florida, but from Brazil. Best time to buy fresh orange juice is from March until the end of June, when it is Valencia season in Florida.

Very enlightening, Linnette. Wonder which grocery store OJ is okay. What about Florida Orange Juice or Tropicana, the best tasting IMO?

Robert Said: This is just Lynette trying to get me to make her fresh squeezed orange juice from our oranges. It worked!
