Then there was link (which I did not click) that would have probably asked for my User Name and Password. I just wonder how many people fall for this.

Good thing you are as sharp as you are, Linnette!

Reminds me, I received the most official looking email from Career Builders, their official logo and everything. It said,

Trust and Site Security Suite provides Job Seekers barrier against internet scammers through analyze of client side contents and Security Certificates.
Our program suite will be invisible for you, but you will be always protected from any fraud activities

Please click here to download

ATTENTION: You will not be able to use our site without Trust and Site Security Suite after 19 of May 2010

I did a search and found nothing indicating this could be a scam, but just to make doubly sure I sent a copy to Career Builders and received this response:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting CareerBuilder's Trust and Site Security Team.

After full review of your report, we have determined that this is a phishing email and should be disregarded and deleted at this time.

The phishing site referenced in this email has been taken down.

Please do not click any of the links within the email or download any attachments. CareerBuilder will not send users email messages requiring them to visit a link nor download software in order to update account information.
