Wow Garrett!! It’s hard to believe you are eighteen. If I start to think back it gets emotional. I remember you sitting on the motorcycles in the garage watching me while I worked on them. You would sit there a long time, happy as can be. I wish you well in everything you do. Have a wonderful Birthday!! Bob

Garrett, the following words are to you, from Ledge. I am typing the words exactly as Ledge said them: "This is for you. I have two motorcycles. I like you. When are you going to come over?"

How cute of Ledge.

Well these words are from Carol:

Garrett, the place I have for you in my heart is all warm and cozy. I just love you more than YOU will ever know. I knew I loved you before, but NOW I know just how much. When you were out here this year, I really got to know you well, more than I ever had. And I honestly LOVE the person you are. There is MUCH to admire in you. You are a very very special person and the girl that gets you is going to be very lucky. I am just so proud of you. You have a good head on your shoulders and I love you very very much! Carol

Happy Birthday, Garrett! Seems like every time I get on this blog, it's your birthday again! Didn't you just have a birthday a year ago? lol.
Really Garrett, I can't believe you're EIGHTEEN! That's amazing. I used to think, "Just watch, when Garrett gets to be 18 he's going to think his aunts are so old, and won't want anything to do with us, or he'll be too busy to spend time with us like he used to." Now, your mission -- should you choose to accept it -- is to prove me wrong.

I must be kidding. I love you Garrett!

One more thing, Garrett, for what it's worth: Don't grow up. It's a trap! ;~)

I love you, Garrett! I hope you had a good birthday. You are the best. As I've told you before, you were the smartest baby ever. And that stayed with you obviously. I'm not just saying that because you are a Ron Paul supporter.

How lucky Garrett is to have so many people that love him so much.

I love you, too, Garrett. So much. There isn't one thing I would change about you. You're kind, an independent thinker, funny, thoughtful, family oriented, intelligent, caring. I love watching you now as you decide where you want to go and figure out how you're going to get there. I wish I was more like you...except, I'm funnier.

Garrett, I love you so, so much! It is so much fun hanging out with you and it is so cool that you still want to hang out with your aunts, singing karaoke and just talking. I miss you. When are you coming back? I love you, Garrett. From the "aging amateur."

I didn't realize you were 18 now Garrett. I wonder if you feel any differently. I am nervous about you going into the military because our country is not the idealistic nation it once was, and I don't want you to get sucked into their meat grinder. So much corruption. But maybe it would turn out great for you. I knows it's your decision and if you choose that career for the next few years, I will be cheering and praying for you and your safety the whole way, as will everyone else. You are so loved!
